Complex network analysis is the quantitative study of interconnected systems that influence every aspect of our lives—from where we get our news and who we share ideas with to how we travel, the people we interact with, the products we purchase, and the foods we eat.
Northeastern’s new Master of Science in Complex Network Analysis is one of the first degree programs in the country focused on developing the next generation of leaders for this emerging field. The program equips students with the conceptual, analytical, and computational tools needed to uncover and analyze patterns of connections in networked systems and apply these techniques in real-world settings.
Upon applying, you’ll choose from four industry-aligned concentrations to help you apply your degree in the sector that best meets your interests—complex social systems, economic and technological networks, population health dynamics, and complex biological networks.
Your MS in Complex Network Analysis curriculum is enhanced with a multi-college partnership that connects several of Northeastern’s colleges. The program allows you to flexibly choose a specialized path that matches your goals and interests. Choosing your concentration area across the university adds depth and breadth to your degree:
