To capitalize on the explosive growth and career opportunities in the biotechnology field, Northeastern is excited to offer a 1-year Experiential Master of Science in Biotechnology on our Boston campus. Boston is a hotspot for biotechnology with 1000+ biotechnology companies located in the Boston area.
In just one year, you can earn your master’s degree through this uniquely Northeastern, intensive, work-based, experience-driven program. In the classroom, you’ll learn the must-have skills to thrive in today’s biotech workplace, with industry experts serving as your faculty.
You’ll hone those skills through several experiential-learning opportunities—including two signature lab courses, a co-op, and a Capstone project—allowing you to build your resumé as you learn. At the end of your year, you’ll be armed with a portfolio of your work and be ready to begin or grow your career faster.
Need more flexibility?
We also offer a MS in Biotechnology program that can be part-time, either in Boston or online for a duration of 2-3 years for students that need more flexibility and would like to spread out the coursework.
