Master of Science in Urban Informatics
Urban informatics experts shape the future of cities around the world. Northeastern University’s Master of Science in Urban Informatics program prepares you for high-paying positions in a high-growth field, teaching you to leverage data, technology, inclusive processes, and policy to improve urban life. The program is designed for students from various technical and nontechnical backgrounds.You’ll learn how to ethically address urban challenges, including climate change, gentrification, and transportation. As a graduate, you’ll be ready to use Big Data, statistical modeling and visualization, mapping and spatial analysis, and apps and sensor systems to gain insights and improve decision-making for policymakers, governments, nonprofits, and private companies.
The program is flexibly offered full or part time with a choice of on-campus, online, or hybrid formats.
