Northeastern University’s Master of Science in Information Systems and Master of Science in Information Systems—Bridge programs prepare you for an in-demand career at the intersection of business, IT management, and engineering—even if you don’t have a STEM or tech-focused background. Through rigorous coursework and experiential learning, the programs prepare graduates to address complex, real-world challenges in an increasingly digitized world.

With the versatile MSIS degree, you'll be prepared to contribute to the digital revolution and to work in a range of in-demand fields in Vancouver and nationwide. We’ve deliberately curated an optimized study program to prepare students for the following roles:

Which program is right for you?

  • Master of Science in Information Systems
  • The MSIS is for recent graduates and experienced IT professionals who want to develop expertise in the latest technologies impacting IT and data engineering. This program provides the knowledge and experience needed to advance your career or transition into a leadership role.
  • Master of Science in Information Systems—Bridge
  • The MSIS—Bridge program is for students with non-STEM bachelor’s degrees or who come from nontechnical careers and want to become information systems, IT, or data engineering professionals. Upon completion of the program, students earn an MS in Information Systems.

Domestic and international students admitted to COE’s MS programs in Vancouver for Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 are eligible for a 25% tuition scholarship. Domestic Canadian students admitted in Vancouver for Fall 2025 may be eligible for scholarships up to 50%. Please note that scholarship eligibility is subject to verification, restrictions may apply.
