Master of Science in Bioengineering

Northeastern University’s Master of Science in Bioengineering equips you with the interdisciplinary education and real-world skills to excel in a rapidly growing industry, spanning from biomedical to biofuel cell research and innovation.  The College of Engineering's approach allows students to focus on a specific concentration, giving you a competitive advantage over those studying in programs offering a general curriculum. The four concentrations you can choose from are:

  • Molecular, cell and tissue engineering
  • Biomechanics and mechanobiology
  • Biomedical devices and bioimaging
  • Systems, synthetic, and computational bioengineering

Additionally, our Master of Science in Bioengineering-Connect program, with a concentration in Biomedical Devices and Bioimaging, is designed for life sciences, medicine, and other non-engineering backgrounds to transition their careers to bioengineering.
