Doctor of Education

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job growth within the next 10 years will be as high as 11% for careers in education, and earning your EdD can provide the skills needed to stand out in this field and make a real impact in your organization and community.

The online Doctor of Education program at Northeastern University is designed to support your role as an adult learner, working professional, and scholar-practitioner. Our EdD is rooted in the Graduate School of Education's mission to cultivate scholar-practitioners who, through lifelong experiential learning, contribute to the transformation of communities toward just and equitable societies. 

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Customize your coursework with five concentrations.
• Work on a Dissertation in Practice, at the onset of the program, and work with a faculty advisor using advanced research principles to examine a compelling educational challenge.
• Grow your global professional network through in-person residencies in Boston, or Seattle, where you can meet and network with students, faculty, and other distinguished leaders.
