Master of Science in Computer Science

In the MSCS program, you will be able to :

  • Build advanced computer science knowledge through rigorous graduate-level coursework.
  • Choose to pursue a broad, generalist curriculum or focus on specialized areas of interest.
  • Explore domains such as artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, game design, security, and related areas.
  • Develop strong technical and analytical skills applicable across a wide range of computing contexts.

Graduates of Northeastern’s MSCS programs pursue careers across a wide range of computer science roles and industries. Alumni have gone on to work at organizations such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, SAP, IBM, Salesforce, Royal Bank of Canada, TELUS, Electronic Arts, and BC Public Service, among others.

Domestic Canadian students admitted to on-ground programs in Toronto for fall 2026 or spring 2027 receive a minimum 25% scholarship and may be eligible for up to 50% based on academic standing. International students may qualify for program-specific awards. All scholarships are subject to verification and applicable restrictions.
