Northeastern University has been a leader in combining classroom instruction with career-focused, real-world experience since its founding in 1898. With programs that incorporate internships, curriculums designed around real-world problems, and faculty who both teach and work in industry, you’ll gain a strong foundation in the skills and experience necessary to succeed in today’s fastest-growing sectors.
The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) prepares you for in-demand careers at the intersection of business, IT management, and engineering. Through rigorous coursework and experiential opportunities, you’ll go beyond programming to deliver safe, secure systems that advance society.
We offer two options to earn your degree:
“It’s great to have professors who are experienced being leaders in industry. It gives us insights from different companies. I have one professor who has been working on artificial intelligence before it was called AI.” —Haseeb Khan, Master of Science in Information Systems
Whether you’re a recent graduate who wants to gain expertise in new technologies or you want to transition into leadership after years in the industry, our MS in Information Systems will give you the insights and experience necessary to transform your career.
The MSIS—Bridge program is for students with non-STEM, nontechnical bachelor’s degrees who want to become information systems professionals. Upon completion of this program, students earn an MS in Information Systems and are prepared to pursue careers as information systems professionals.
