The Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering provides options to pursue a general mechanical engineering curriculum or one with concentrations in Materials Science, Mechanics and Design, Mechatronics, and Thermofluids. You can choose from coursework-only, project-based, or thesis-based options for a career in industry or to prepare for a doctoral program. The College of Engineering has 17 research centers and institutes, such as the Center for High Rate Nanomanufacturing, the Healthcare Systems Engineering Institute, the Institute for Experiential Robotics, and the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things, as well as many faculty laboratories. Through our top-ranked cooperative education (co-op) program, students can gain up to 8 months of industry experience in their field of interest as part of the academic curriculum while building their resumé and developing a professional network.
