Northeastern University has been a leader in combining classroom instruction with real-world experience since its founding in 1898. Our co-ops, Experiential Network projects, and global campus resources give students the skills and practical expertise necessary to succeed in today’s fastest-growing industries.

The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) prepares you for in-demand careers at the intersection of business, IT management, and engineering. Through rigorous coursework and experiential opportunities, you’ll go beyond programming to deliver safe, secure systems that advance society.

We offer two IS programs for students with different levels of tech experience: a traditional MSIS for students who have bachelor's degrees or significant experience in a tech-related field, and the MSIS—Bridge program, in which students without this background take foundational IS courses before beginning the traditional curriculum.
