In today’s increasingly interconnected world, global corporations, nonprofits, and governments have an increasing need for leaders with deep analytical, research, and cross-cultural skills. The Master of Science in Global Studies and International Relations at Northeastern University provides the real-world training to develop key skills to advance your career.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Select the learning format that meets your needs. Earn your degree 100% online, on campus in Boston, Seattle or Charlotte, or a hybrid format that combines the two.
  • Customize your coursework. You'll focus your study on one of the world's six major regions and pick one of the following four concentrations: Diplomacy, Conflict Resolution, Global Health and Development or Interational Economics and Consulting.
  • Learn from faculty with decades of experience. They've been ambassadors, foreign service officers, diplomats, international consultants, higher education consulting experts and experts in development policy.
  • Gain critical skills. Analyze, evaluate, and immediately apply your learning to real-life challenges in the field or in your current position.
  • Travel abroad. Go to a foreign country with your classmates for an optional international field study for firsthand research and consulting.
