About Dean Angela Hosking

Angela Hosking, MBA, MSN, RN, is the CEO and dean of Northeastern University in Charlotte. She operates as the university’s lead executive for the Charlotte campus, one of Northeastern's 13 campuses across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. In addition to overseeing the delivery of high-quality professional education on campus, Dean Hosking is charged with extending the resources of the university into the region by advancing its global corporate partnerships and research capabilities.

Dean Hosking is a board-certified nurse executive who brings two decades of healthcare experience and leadership to Northeastern’s global university system. Her expertise in healthcare administration includes strategic leadership, financial operations, and continuing education. Against this background, she strengthens Northeastern’s mission to support the growing healthcare industry, address talent shortages, and combat disparities affecting underserved communities.

Before joining Northeastern in March 2022, Dean Hosking served as the director of nursing at the Levine Cancer Institute, a division of Atrium Health. The Levine Cancer Institute has 25 locations across the Carolinas. She managed the coordination of the system’s nursing team and central market operations, oversaw nursing competencies and strategy, implemented evidence-based practices, and maintained regulatory competencies.

Additionally, Dean Hosking serves the community as a strong advocate for empowering women. She is a former co-president of the Ellevate Charlotte Women’s Network Charlotte chapter and CEO and founder of Her One Tribe, which supports female leaders with workshops, coaching, and mentoring. She is a published author, motivational speaker, educator, coach, and consultant.

Dean Hosking holds an MBA and MSN from Grand Canyon University, a BSN in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a BA in English from the University of Florida.
